Doc. dr. Branko Mayr
Financial Forensics expert
Doc.dr. dr. Branko Mayr is an expert in financial forensics.
Branko holds a PhD in business and organisational sciences and is an assistant professor at the College of Accountancy and Finance, a permanent forensic expert in several economic fields, a certified public accountant, a certified business valuator, a certified management accountant (CMA), a certified fraud examiner in accounting (CFE) and a state internal auditor. He has been involved in the organisation, rehabilitation and reorganisation of numerous Slovenian companies and has led the valuation or auditing of more than 250 companies. He has been a member of numerous expert committees in accounting, control, economics, tax, etc.
Branko performs internal audits and external audits, emphasising forensic audits, special audits, extraordinary audits, due diligence, and other most demanding audit assignments.
As a forensic expert, he provides opinions on the most complex professional matters in taxation, economics, accounting and finance.
As a university lecturer elected to the rank of Assistant Professor, he has been involved in preparing several higher education programmes, including the Master’s degree programme Forensic Investigations in Finance and Accounting.
He is registered as a quality assessor of higher education programmes. He has carried out peer reviews of the quality of several higher education programmes on behalf of the National Agency for Quality in Higher Education. Branko has authored or co-authored more than 500 bibliographic items in his field of expertise.
